I have to say, I'm super excited about the opening night of RAG, knowing its an original mucial done locally its special and its exciting to know, we have such talent, here is a quick look at whats going on tomorrow!
1. Tell me about rag this year? Has the script changed?
This year's edition of Rag the musical is vastly different as any of Jehans plays. It is not a repeat but a brand new edition with a vibrant energised new cast...Fresh faces. New songs have been added and some have been dropped.
2. What has been the biggest challenge?
Challenge this year was to find the right bunch of guys to fit this new edition. Fresh faces like Dion Nanayakkara and Julian Anderson have been working on this project for over a year to perfect and elevate their performance in this version of Rag The Musical.
3. How long has the cast been working on this production?
A bunch of 3 - 4 guys were preworking this version for roughly 3 months before casting began.
After casting was set we've been at it for close to 6 months. Adding the right casting members along the way.
4. What's different about the play this time?
Refer question 1. (new edition with new revised script. Songs added and deducted. Shorter script to suit the current Audience. Play runs for Roughly 2 hours 10 minutes.)

RAG the Musical Written, Composed and Directed by Jehan Aloysius hits the theater on the 2nd, 4th & 5th of November at the Lionel Wendt Theater.
